The Franklin Pierce Law Center (Pierce Law) is a private, nonprofit, American Bar Association-accredited law school located in Concord, New Hampshire. The school is named after the 14th President of the United States and New Hampshire native Franklin Pierce and is the only law school in New Hampshire. Pierce Law was founded in 1973 by Robert H. Rines. The school is particularly well known for its Intellectual Property Law program.[2] On April 27, 2010, Franklin Pierce Law Center formally signed an agreement to merge with the University of New Hampshire, pending an approval by the American Bar Association. [3] After the ABA's approval, Franklin Pierce Law Center will be re-named University of New Hampshire School of Law.[4]
